Artificial intelligence (AI) is about the fastest-evolving fields in science and technology. It has already demonstrated its capability to enable automation of processes and solving complex problems through data analysis and fast dynamic learning. And its growing impact on the job market has triggered a wide range of reactions around potential mass layoffs or budget cuts –  raising numerous questions about the future of employment.

In spite of the fear-fueled reactions and call for caution, AI technology continued to advance at an alarming speed, disrupting traditional strategy approaches and causing upheavals to cultural transformations. Critical to its acceleration was the assertion by the World economic forum that AI was expected to create 170million new jobs while eliminating 92 million existing ones.

As such, it is no longer a distant disruption, it is already reshaping industries evident in it democratizing expertise, lowering costs and changing competitive dynamic across industries. As such the window to express fear or concern or strategize to adopt or mitigate is gone. AI has been embraced globally. It is the beam for tunneling into the future.

In the global context, 72% of companies worldwide use AI in at least one part of their business. And studies have shown that small firms adopt AI fast underlining the ease of adoption and the lowering or market entry barriers as AI tools allow startups to compete with established players by reducing the need for large workforces and infrastructures. Generative AI enables small teams to produce content, designs and software that rival big corporations

In Nigeria, finance, agriculture, manufacturing, and education are rapidly adopting AI meaning job seekers must adapt quickly. Recently, a betting outfit advertised the use of AI to better the odds for their customers. This understates the wide range of uses that AI can and will be deployed.

At this point, it is needless to freeze in fear or welcome any sort of trepidation or uncertainty. Ordinarily, it is a time to embrace the massive benefit AI presents and most importantly the inevitability of the submersion that is assuredly imminent. Leaders of industries, organizations (large, midsize and small) must make the adjustment to not only accommodate AI but to deploy for sustainable benefits.

We, at Fonxxa Technology, opine that not only industry leaders, or heads of organizations, businesses and government departments should position themselves for the sweeping tide of AI, rather everyone, especially Nigerians who are already in the workspace or shaping to get into one. AI will shape how we work, learn, earn, grow or exit in the workplace.

However, the focus of Fonxxa Technology Limited is how to leverage and use AI to transform the disruption and work culture shift to benefits for all seekers, whether unemployed or employed seeking to change jobs or chasing career growth. This is because hiring priorities and hiring tools deployed have been altered by AI, and dealing with them with the current traditional practice is proving to be not only unsuitable but tiring as well.

Therefore, As more organizations adopt these automated recruitment processes, job seekers need to adapt quickly to keep their personal competitive edge in tandem with the speed of change, otherwise careers would stagnate or be lost.

Fonxxa Technology is on the cusp of introducing a revolutionary technological solution called PreWrite AI. It is a solution that will give every job seeker in Nigeria and across the world the required savvy to not only cope with the fast-paced disruption of AI to the job application industry, but a solution that will help everyone to stay a step ahead of it.
